About Piedmont Ale House

Tucked away in a quiet part of Burlington, this bar and grill offers a relaxed spot to enjoy a variety of comfort foods and drinks. The menu leans heavily on hearty pizzas, sizable burgers, and fresh salads, with options like spicy wings and southwestern-inspired appetizers drawing a steady crowd. It’s the kind of place where folks settle in for casual lunch or dinner, often drawn by the good selection of local beers, cocktails, and wines that complement the food well.

Inside, the atmosphere feels cozy and unpretentious, with plenty of TVs showing sports and a crowd that includes university students, locals meeting up with friends, and even some tourists passing through. Outdoor seating adds a laid-back vibe on warmer evenings, and the presence of bar games gives the space a friendly, social edge. Service can be a bit hit or miss at times, but the fast pace during busy hours helps keep things moving.

The spot works well for groups as well as solo diners, with wheelchair accessibility thoughtfully handled throughout the venue, including parking and restroom facilities. Whether you’re after quick bites, a relaxed dinner, or a place to watch the game with a drink in hand, this neighborhood spot offers a familiar, comfortable setting that many come back to for its mix of solid food and casual atmosphere.

Food is always great. Seems like they're under staffed. I get it. As long as my drinks stay coming I'm good. This time that wasn't the case. Thats why im not leaving 5 stars. Other than that Ive always enjoy this place. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed our drinks and appetizers at Piedmont Ale House. The bar had a number of TV’s and looked like it has a good group of regulars who frequent it. We enjoyed the southwestern egg rolls, buffalo chicken dip and popcorn chicken.

Best wings around the burgers are really good… but if you get wings my favorite is spicy garlic request a side of hot sauce mix it with your ranch for dipping… so freaking good.

We both ordered a salad, it was good service was slow. After receiving food no one came back out to check on us.

A wonderful place to grab a quick bite for lunch, have dinner or just to grab some drinks with a few friends. The food is incredible! Their onion rings were easily the best onion rings I have ever had! Definitely give this place a try if you are ever in the area!

Love grabbing a drink here... Super friendly staff... Food is very good... Always end up having something to eat... Good selection of drinks and prices are not too high... Been a few times and definitely going back soon...

I've been coming here for years, but hadn't been lately. My son and I decided to go since we were on that side of town. I always got their burgers and remembered how great they were, so we stopped in for that reason. Just like every time before, the burger was the best I'd eaten in a long while around here. The homemade chips were equally as good. The guy that used to wait on me years ago waited on us, and he was cool and a very nice. My son got a chicken sandwich which was delicious, as well. This is my go-to burger place. It won't be as long next time before I go back. Prices were very reasonable, especially with the size portions you get. Overall a 5/5... highly recommended.
